Our next Department of Alabama Quarterly meeting will take place on Saturday, 27 August 2011 at 9:30 am.  We are again moving our location in order to accommodate the larger group that we have been having at our Quarterly meetings.  It is really great that we outgrew our meeting places.  We also moved from the first weekend of the September because the first weekend of September is a holiday (3 day) weekend.

Please remind your Marines that this meeting is open to any Detachment member.  Please encourage all of your Detachment Officer's that can attend, have the opportunity to come. 

 

There will be a Devil Dog Growl to follow.  We will send out for sandwiches.

On 27 August 2011, we will meet at the American Legion Post 133 in Millbrook, Alabama.  It is located just a couple of exits north of downtown Montgomery, just off I-65.  The address of the American Legion is 4980 Main Street, Millbrook, Al.  Their telephone number is 334-285-3730.

The best directions that I can give you is as follows:

Either Southbound or Northbound on I-65, get off on Exit 181.  Go EAST on Robinson Springs Road for about 2-3 miles.  Turn right on Main Street.  The American Legion should be less than a mile on your left side of the road. 

For those coming from South I65, you actually can get off on Exit 176 and after you exit you are on Main Street, Continue on Main street for several miles until you see the American Legion on the right.

If I have confused you, do a "Google" search or use your GPS!!!  For some, get out the old "government issue compass."  OOH RAH!!
